“Hey,” She said weakly as she stared up at her mysterious savior. “Where am I? Where are you taking me?”
The guy turned to her and winked. His beautiful blue eyes seemed to have a calming effect upon her. Without any words he seemed to tell her not to worry. She got the impression that no harm would come to her as long as he was with her.
To her surprise the man’s silent reassurance seemed to relax her. She closed her eyes again and felt the warmth of the car’s interior flood through her body and restore her spirit. She found herself drifting off to the sounds of an ancient song by the rock group,Chicago. It was a song called Beginnings. It was strange that this song was playing on the radio. This had been one of her favorites when she was a child.
Deborah fell back to sleep on the warm expanse of the Buick’s large back seat. The song carried her off into tranquil dreams of Christmas and of beautiful angels who rescue young women in the desert. Perhaps she was dead. Perhaps the gorgeous man that was driving this large boat of a car was taking her to Heaven.
